Description
The vervet or green monkey (Cercopithecus pygerythrus) lives in a wide variety of habitats throughout Africa. While they are habitat generalists, vervets must live close to water. Their diet primarily consists of fruit, although occasionally it will eat bird eggs and reptiles. They are highly sociable, travel in groups and maintain order through rank and complex gestures and sounds. 2-part skull (separate cranium & jaw).
